The fraudsters send messages to the registered email address of the recipient or use fake websites and ask them to enter their credit card information and other personal details. The aim of these fraudsters is to steal your money.
2. Unauthorized transactions
In this fraud, the person who was supposed to pay the bill gets a call or email informing him or her that there is a transaction on the statement of the card. When he or she checks his or her credit card statement, he or she will find that there is no transaction.

This is one of the easiest scams which a fraudster will do. He will take someone else’s identity by using the personal details which are available online. He will apply for a credit card in that name and then go online to make purchases.
4. Unauthorized chargebacks
You don’t have to pay for an item, but you can use your credit card to make payments. In this type of fraud, a fraudster makes purchases for you on the credit card. The fraudster will make the purchase on your behalf and then take back the payment which you made on your credit card and refund it to your account.
5. Billing errors

In this fraud, the fraudster sends you an email claiming to be a company representative. He will tell you that you are responsible for a payment on your credit card and ask you to send the required amount to resolve the problem. But the fraudster is not interested in your money but is rather interested in your personal details and data.
6. Fraudulent calls
A fraudster may call you and tell you that you are under the collection agency or that a new credit card has been issued. He or she will ask you to pay a high fee in order to resolve the problem. However, you won’t get any fee, so you will end up being the one to pay the fee.
